Tethering technique for revision of a thoracic spinal cord stimulator paddle: a case report.

چکیده
Revision of a displaced permanent spinal cord stimulator paddle lead presents certain challenges, not least of which is how to maintain the implant inthecorrectposition.Theauthorrecentlyencounteredapatient whose thoracic lead,whichwasoriginallyplaced in themidline,migrated into the lateral gutter. As afibrous sheathhadalready formedaround the lead in the displaced position, simplymoving it back to themidline was felt to have a low probability of success. The author was able to successfully reposition the implant and anchor it with a technique that was recently presented for use in the cervical spine (1).
